The government allocated 10 billion rubles to universities

The Russian government distributed 10.14 billion rubles of subsidies to leading universities in the country from the federal budget. The corresponding order was signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, according to the Cabinet of Ministers.

Funds are allocated within the framework of the subprogram "Development of vocational education" of the State Program "Development of Education" for 2013–2020. Support is provided in order to implement the task of ensuring the entry by 2020 at least five Russian universities to the first hundred leading world universities.

In particular, according to 964 million rubles, it was allocated to Tomsk State University, Tomsk Polytechnic University, St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics. "Higher School of Economics" will receive 930 million rubles.

MISI, MISIS, MIFI, URFU, Novosibirsk National Research State University, St. Petersburg Polytechnic University of Peter the Great allocated 761 million rubles each.

Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky will receive 482 million rubles, Samara State Aerospace University named after academician S.P. Korolev - 467 million rubles, FEFU - 425 million rubles, Kazan (Volga) Federal University - 378 million rubles.

In 2013, 15 universities were provided with 8.7 billion rubles, in 2014 - 14 universities for 10.15 billion rubles.
