Dnepr lost to Sevilla in the Europa League final

Ukrainian "Dnepr" lost to the Spanish "Seville" in the final of the Europa League. The game ended with the score 3:2 in regular time.

The first goal already in the seventh minute of the match was scored by Nikola Kalinic. Sevilla responded with two goals in the 28th and 31st minutes. In the first half, Dnipro managed to bounce back. Team captain Ruslan Rotan scored the ball from a free-kick in the 44th minute. The only goal in the second half was scored by Sevilla's Colombian striker Carlos Bacca.

• Dnipro reached the final of the European Cup for the first time. Before that, the main achievements of Dnipro were the quarter-finals of the European Champions Cup (now the Champions League) in 1984-85 and 1989-90.
