Nikolai Alekseev: This case will not be brought to court

Today, Nikolai Alekseev, a well-known LGBT activist, must charge the criminal case of insulting the State Duma deputies Elena Mizulina and Olga Batalina. Alekseev told the OVD-Info about this case:

Apparently, the accusations will be related to the publication in various blogs of statements against these two deputies - in May -June 2013. The case has been investigating for two years, it has been spinning around the words that Mizulin and Bataline considered offending. They wrote a statement, in July 2013 they started a case.

In the framework of this case, quite a few people were interviewed: the journalists “Lenta.ru”, and Ksenia Sobchak, and Alfred Koch, and Lena Kostyuchenko. And the search in my house was carried out as part of this case in August 2013.

Things seized during the search were returned only ten months later. In the order of the 125th article of the Code of Criminal Procedure, there was a lawsuit on the illegality of holding these things. Now this is the case in the ECHR - this is a separate process. As a witness, I gave a subscription about the non -disclosure of the case file, and everyone who interrogated was given such a subscription.

I did not see the statements of Mizulina and Batalina - I will see it only after I get access to the case file if they transfer me to the status of the accused. Then it will be clear whether this statement is against me or against some unidentified persons. But initially it was obvious that the case was planned against me.

Over the past three years, there have been so many different comments on the topic of the lawmaking of Mizulina - and they do not stop - if she watched social networks, she would be in shock. There is much more cooler than what they want to impose to me.

The charge in this case wanted to bring me back in October last year. There was exactly the same call to the Investigative Committee, exactly the same agenda. At the moment when I came for presentation, everything was outplayed. Then they refused the charge.

I do not know the materials of the case, but I think that nothing has changed in the case since October last year. The statute of limitations just ends - it expires at the end of June. In addition, this case falls under an amnesty. It is impossible to bring it to the court sentenced. They want to make a good mine with a bad game, satisfy everyone. This is my assumption.
