In Moscow, a rally was held on Suvorovskaya Square in defense of education. The action of scientists and teachers, students and their parents was organized by independent trade unions "Teacher" and "University Solidarity". The protesters protested against the low salaries of teachers, overstated educational loads, mass reductions, violations of labor rights and "state policy, turning out with a frank decrease in the quality of education and the collapse of science."
About 300 people took part in the action.

After a short rally, the participants were divided into eight groups to discuss ways to solve specific problems. The hottest discussion unfolded on the site, where measures of counteracting the university community state propaganda, clericals and conspiracygists, especially the "agitbridam" Nikolai Starikov, one of the founders of Antimaydan, were discussed.
The shares in defense of education were also held in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Izhevsk, Kazan.
