The Russian consul in Kyiv by Alexei Rough will again be allowed to be Evgeny Erofeev and Alexander Alexandrov, who was arrested for terrorism, not earlier than a month or two to the GRU special forces. This was announced on his Facebook page by adviser to the head of the SBU Markiyan Lubkivsky. “And this, perhaps, is correct from all points of view,” the official noted.
Lubkivsky explained the decision of the Ukrainian intelligence services "significant volumes of work that the investigators must be carried out, and also the importance of medical rehabilitation of the arrested."
“The Russian side does not need to worry,” the official added, “the arrested is provided with everything necessary from the point of view of medicine and safety.” In confirmation of this, he referred to photographs attached to the post, taken before visiting the special forces rude on May 26. In the pictures of the Russian diplomat, they are thoroughly inspection using various equipment, including dosimetric.
Rough met with Erofeev and Alexandrov only 10 days later from the date of their capture . At the same time, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine a week before the official’s visit sent all the information necessary for communication with the special forces to the Russian embassy. Nevertheless, the Russian foreign policy, instead of immediately sending the consul to the arrested, it stated that the authorities of Ukraine were not allowed to be special forces by the Russian diplomat.
On May 29, a rude one at a meeting with the lawyers of the arrested stated that Russia considers both prisoners to be "mercenaries" and "police LPR" , who, since December 2014, allegedly "have nothing to do with the Russian army." Erofeev and Aleksandrov, having learned from lawyers about the position of Moscow, were indignant and once again emphasized that they did not quit the Russian army.
