Theater.doc was obliged to document the fulfillment of fire requirements or pay a major fine before Wednesday. This was stated by the theater lawyer Yulia Sycheva, Interfax reports .
"By tomorrow, we must submit documents confirming the absence of violations of fire safety rules. Otherwise, the theater faces a fine of more than 300 thousand rubles," Sycheva said. According to her, even in the case of eviction of the theater from the current premises, a fine will have to be paid.
“If a fine is assigned for violation of fire safety rules, it will have to be paid regardless of where the theater will be based at that time - the case was started earlier when the theater was still in this room,” explained Sycheva.
On May 7, an unplanned check of the state of fire safety began in the theater.doc. Employees of the Ministry of Emergencies came to the theater, accompanied by a representative of the prosecutor's office.
“The prosecutor came with two fire department specialists, and a sudden check of our fire fighting state began,” said the director of the theater Elena Gremin. “According to the rules on such an audit, they should report in three days. They explained to us that if firefighters come with the prosecutor, this can be done without warning.”
On the same day, Gremin met with a district inspector to verify the lease agreement and the charter documents.
On the eve of the theater.doc, the premiere of the documentary performance "Swamp business" based on the play by Polina Borodina took place. Before the premiere, the room was checked by a dog handler with a dog. There were two policemen at the performance, a police bus stood in front of the theater. Gremin noted that the artists were able to play well "in a difficult and pressing atmosphere."
On May 28, the lease agreement was terminated with the theater.doc. The room will need to be released within a month. The art director of the theater Mikhail Ugarov is sure that the owner of the building did not make such a decision independently.
“There is no doubt that the decision to terminate the lease with us was prompted by the owner from above. This is understandable because he spoke to us, as if apologizing,” said Ugarov.
The relations of theater and authorities have recently remained tense. On October 15, 2014, the Moscow Property Department ahead of schedule and without explanation terminated a unilaterally lease agreement in a three -breed lane unilaterally. On December 30, the police tore off the demonstration of the Ukrainian film "Stronger than Weapons" dedicated to Euromaidan. The next daythere was a search there .
