1885 Yakov Sverdlov was born

130 years ago, on June 3, 1885, Yakov Mikhailovich Sverdlov, chairman of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of the RSFSR and head of the Organizing Bureau of the Central Committee of the Bolshevik Party, was born. After the October Revolution, he became, along with Lenin and Trotsky, one of the most important figures in the leadership of the party and state and one of the main architects of the "Red Terror". Sverdlov led all organizational work in the party, performing the same functions that Stalin later began to perform as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the RCP (b).
