Law enforcement agencies discovered a pistol from which the co-chair of the RPR-Parnas Boris Nemtsov was supposedly killed. This was reported by Interfax with reference to a source familiar with the situation. Where the gun was found, it is not reported.
“At present, the murder weapon has been discovered and attached to the case file, the necessary examinations are conducted,” the source said. “Subsequently, the pistol will be demonstrated by the defendants, and they will have to answer the questions of investigators.”
According to him, several more pistols were previously discovered. However, experts found that not one of them was used in the commission of this crime.
"Two pistols were found in the river, weapons were found in the apartments of the defendants, including Zaur Dadaev (according to the investigation - the direct executor of the crime. - Ed.), But not one of them was an instrument of murder," the source noted.
On May 29, Izvestia already reported thediscovery of a possible murder gun - Makarov’s pistol. The newspaper referred to the defenders of the accused Zaurbek Sadakhanov and Rosa Magomedov. It was also reported about the examination of five rounds for Makarov caliber 9 × 18 millimeters. It was argued that the gun was seized back in March in Ingushetia, in the house of Dadaev’s mother.
On the same day, Sadakhanov said that he did not report the discovery of a pistol : "I was misunderstood, or I did not express my thought inaccurately. I do not know that the investigation found a gun - I only know that five cartridges in Malgobek in Zaur Dadaev’s apartment were discovered."
These cartridges, Sadakhanov explained, and were sent for examination. Its purpose is to find out whether they are identical to cartridges that shot Nemtsov. “The results of the examination have not yet been obtained,” the lawyer concluded.
According to Dadaev’s initial testimony, Makarov’s pistol with a silencer and a car was given to him by a certain Rusik (according to various sources, the investigation considers the Rusik or the deputy commander of the Kadyrovsky battalion “North” by Major Ruslan Geremeyev, or Ruslan Mukhudinov, associated with the criminal world). After the murder, said Dadaev, a certain young man came from Rusik, who took the gun with him. Subsequently, Dadaev refused the testimony and stated that he had given them under torture.
