It was debuted by the directors of Efim Padwe, Lev Dodin, Kama Ginkas, Henrietta Yanovskaya. The theater is in departmental subordination of the Leningrad region.
The former leadership of the theater on Litein was resigned by the Government of the Leningrad Region due to ineffective financial and economic activities and non-fulfillment of state orders for visiting productions for residents of the region.
