Prado will put a picture for the blind

From June 11 to 15, as part of the Intermuseum-2015 International Museum Festival, in the Central Exhibition Hall "Manege" in Moscow, work created for the blind and visually impaired visitors of the Prado Museum will be shown.

According to RIA Novosti , the curator of the “Touch Prado” project Fernando Peres Suezkun will present a reproduction of a picture from the museum collection specially transferred to 3D format so that it can be “examined” tactilely. Within the framework of the project “Touch Prado”, 3D versions of the most famous works were made, including the works of Goya, Velazquez and El Greco.

The Russian museums-the Samara Children's Picture Gallery, the Russian Ethnographic Museum, the Humanitarian Center "Overcoming Ostrovsky, will also demonstrate their projects with disabilities at the Intermuseum-2015 festival-Samara Picture Gallery.

The main theme of the Intermuseum-2015 festival will be the “Development of the Museum-Development of the Territory”. 232 museums from around the world will take part in it, including the Manege museum and exhibition association, which will present the concept of development of the Museum Vadim Sidur. The organizers expect that this year the festival will visit at least 15 thousand people.
