The Central Bank increased the euro exchange rate by 2.8 rubles

The Bank of Russia set the euro exchange rate at 61.94 rubles, which is 2.8 rubles higher than the level of the previous day. Such data is provided on the official website of the Central Bank.

The official dollar exchange rate as of June 5 is 54.99 rubles - almost 2 rubles higher than today's rate.

The bi-currency basket increased by 2.34 rubles to 58.12 rubles.

During trading on the Moscow Exchange today at 15:53, the maximum value of the dollar was 55.27 rubles, the euro - 62.72 rubles, RBC reports .

Earlier today, Central Bank Chairman Elvira Nabiullina said that it does not seek to influence the ruble exchange rate by conducting currency interventions, adding that it is now in an equilibrium position. At the same time, the head of the regulator noted the danger of artificially strengthening the ruble: this leads to the same risks as its artificial weakening.
