The mayor of Kiev Vitaly Klitschko called for the abolition of the “margin of equality”, which planned to hold LGBT community in the Ukrainian capital on June 6, writes Interfax-Ukraine .
According to Klitschko, in the current conditions there is a danger of provocations. The mayor of Kyiv believes that at a time when the conflict in the Donbass continues, to carry out mass events that were ambiguously perceived by society is not very timely.
“We now have one enemy - military aggression in the east. Therefore, I urge everyone not to play in the hands of the enemy, not to incite enmity and not to create another confrontation in the center of the capital, ”Klitschko added. At the same time, he noted that in Kyiv there is no discrimination, and everyone is guaranteed a free expression of beliefs.
Previously banned in Russia, the Ukrainian Nationalist Party “Right Sector” asked Klitschko through the court to cancel the “equality march”.
