A student of Moscow State University Varvara Karaulova was detained in the Turkish city of Kilis in preparations for the transition of the Syrian border, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports . Earlier it was reported that she left the house to join the Islamic State.

"The measures to establish its whereabouts ended with success thanks to the immediate involvement of all the available interpol capabilities and coordinated actions of the Turkish and Russian law enforcement agencies," the statement said. Now Karaulov is contained in the National Migration Agency of Turkey and will be extradited to Russia.

The search case will be closed in connection with the detention of Karaulova.
