Lufthansa has canceled some flights in Russia
Lufthansa Airlines has decided to stop operating flights to Samara, Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow's Vnukovo Airport.
Lufthansa "will keep these destinations in the spotlight and will consider resuming flights as soon as the economic situation stabilizes," the airline said in a statement.
Lufthansa will stop operating flights from Samara and Nizhny Novgorod from September 6 and 7, respectively. Flights from Vnukovo will be suspended from 31 August.
“Unfortunately, the current economic situation does not allow maintaining flights at the proper level of profitability,” the company said in a statement.
