
The spacecraft of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation launched with the help of the Soyuz-2.1A launch vehicle from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, successfully brought to orbit, the representative of the Ministry of Defense for the Aerospace Defense troops Dmitry Zenin said today.
"The spacecraft was displayed into the calculated orbit. The department was held as usual," he said.
The launch was carried out at 18:24 Moscow time from the commissioning number 4 under the general leadership of the Commander of the Troops of the East Kazakhstan region of Lieutenant General Alexander Golovko.
At 18:26, the Soyuz-2.1a missile was taken to accompany the ground means of the G.S. Titov Space Command of East Kazakhstan region.
This is the second launch of the Soyuz-2.1A launch vehicle, carried out by the VSO troops in 2015 from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, Interfax reports. The previous launch from the Northern Cosmodrome was held on February 27. In total, this year three launches of space-purpose missiles were carried out from Plesetsk: two launches of the Soyuz-2 RKN and one launch of the ROKOT ROKOT RKN.
