At the opening ceremony of the festival, the prize for contribution to the cinema will be awarded to Alice Freindlich. Also in Ples, an exhibition of photographs and sketches of the costumes of Nelly Fomina, who worked with Andrei Tarkovsky in the films “Stalker” and “Mirror”, will open. The film “IDA” ( IDA ), which received the Oscar award this year, will close the festival on June 14.

The Mirror festival has been held at the homeland of Andrei Tarkovsky since 2007. About 150 films are demonstrated annually at the festival, more than 50 creative meetings are held, and about 25 thousand people attend festival events. Since 2010, the president of the film festival has been film director Pavel Lungin.
