New resignations of governors are not excluded in connection with corruption. This was stated by the head of the presidential administration Sergey Ivanov at the Russian press congress, TASS reports .

Corruption in Russia has always been and still exists, Ivanov emphasized. At the same time, according to him, ordinary people make a significant contribution who believe that no issues cannot be resolved without bribes.

Ivanov is sure that there are no simple recipes for solving the problem of corruption in the civil service, but measures are taken for this. He noted that at the federal level "more or less everything is in order." Last year, 300 officials were fired in the loss of confidence, the head of the administration said. Twice the number of candidates for the civil service was refused admission during the inspection. However, on the regional and local "the horse has not yet been lying."

“There we still need to work a lot there. We will do it calmly, you can never have a hunt for witches, try to get scores,” Ivanov noted.

Ivanov also commented on corruption ratings and said that it was better to use domestic. They already demonstrate that citizens note some successes in the fight against corruption in the country.

In September 2014, the governor of the Bryansk region Nikolai Denin was suspected of corruption and dismissed. On May 21, the Investigative Committee charged him of committing a crime under paragraph 2 of Article 285 of the Criminal Code (abuse of authority by a person holding the state position of a constituent entity). Denin is placed under house arrest.

In March of this year , the head of the Sakhalin Region Alexander Khoroshavin was arrested due to the corruption scandal. He is accused of receiving a bribe of more than 5.5 million US dollars, and in the TFR they are sure that there will be new episodes in the case.
