Reachi - a device that allows you to communicate in emergency situations

Reachi is designed to ensure information interaction between volunteers working at the place of natural disasters and the Red Cross service, in conditions when there is no Internet, and the connection is unstable.

The system is designed on the basis of MESH technology, providing high -speed transmission of digital information without using mobile communication or the Internet.

Since the device is intended for use in natural disasters, it has such characteristics as anti -jacket and waterproof, and also works on solar panels.

With Reachi, the volunteer can send a report to the Red Cross service, for example, about the number of families in need of medical care and their location.

A simple to use the interface works on the basis of providing already specified options, allows you to automatically visualize information.

A short message is transmitted from one device to another at a distance of 1 km. Thus, the Red Cross service receives an idea of ​​the scale of the disaster, which allows you to provide assistance in a timely manner where it is most necessary.

This device has already been appreciated by Universal Design Award 2015 , where Reachi received awards in two nominations at once: Expert Favourite 'and' Consumer Favourite '.

It was also presented at Global Social Venture Competition in April this year.
