The case of Sentsov and Kolchenko was sent to a military court

The Prosecutor General approved the indictment in the criminal case of Oleg Sentsov and Alexander Kolchenko and sent it to the North Caucasus District Military Court for consideration on the merits. This was reported on February 11 on the official website of the Prosecutor General's Office.

According to investigators, Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov created a terrorist community that operated in Crimea as a division of the Right Sector organization with the aim of “destabilizing the activities of the authorities of the republic and influencing the decision-making by the authorities of the Russian Federation on the withdrawal of this republic from its composition.” The activity of the community was suppressed in May 2014 by the FSB, the statement says.

Sentsov is charged under articles on creating and leading a terrorist community, committing a terrorist attack, preparing to commit a terrorist attack, attempted illegal acquisition of explosive devices and illegal acquisition, transportation and storage of firearms and ammunition. Anarchist Alexander Kolchenko is accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist community and committing a terrorist attack.
