Two buses, in which more than a hundred residents of Chuvashia planned to get to Moscow to contact the presidential administration, were blocked in the center of Cheboksary. According to OVD-Info, journalist Sergei Matveev, who was on the scene, the departure of buses is prevented by high-ranking city and regional officials who are trying to persuade people with promises or, on the contrary, intimidate drivers of vehicles. Apparently, the head of the governor's administration, Yuri Vasilyev, and city manager Alexei Ladykov, are preventing residents from going to Moscow who are desperate to achieve justice on various issues at the local level. According to the latest information, one of the buses, which belong to private carriers, has already “broke down”, without having time to drive off.
It is worth noting that this is not the first attempt by the Chuvash to reach out with their problems to the federal leadership. However, in May, guests from Chuvashia in the capital were also not very hospitable.
