In the Central District of St. Petersburg, a supporting point of the police was burned. It is reported by Fontanka.ru with reference to the city MACHS. The department’s website also placed a note about the incident, but it does not specify that the police station was burning and that the cause of the fire was arson.

The incident occurred in the early morning on Saturday at the address 6th Sovetskaya St., 22 - a few minutes walk from Nevsky Prospekt. Unknown people had a snack at one of the barred windows of the site, which was located in the basement of the residential five -story building, and, penetrating the premises, set them on fire. The ignition area was 20 square meters.

The signal to the fire department received at 5:47, but it was possible to localize the fire only at 6:51. As the residents of the house explained, the firefighters could not hack the thick metal door of the strong point, and the fact that the lock on one of the windows was extensive, for a long time remained unnoticed.

During the liquidation of the fire, 6 residents of the house were evacuated.

According to the interlocutor of the publication in the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Central District of St. Petersburg, in favor of the version of arson, in particular, some of the things from the stronghold have disappeared. What kind of things are it, is not specified.

The police are looking for arsonists.
