The deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Vitaly Milonov proposes to develop the concept of protecting the information space of Russia from the ideology of the West and to label cultural content recognized as "harmful," TASS reports . One of the works that must be marked, he called the book and the series "Game of Thrones".
According to Milonov, the labeling of cultural content can be carried out by analogy with the labeling of public organizations - "foreign agents".
According to the deputy, he is preparing a draft appeal to the Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky, in which he will present his initiative. "We see that television and the Internet have taken upon themselves the main educational and educational function, replacing and displacing the traditional methods of formation and educating the younger generation. It is short -sighted to deny and pretend that this is not happening," the deputy said.
“We are not saying that this or that film, a computer game or series may contain scenes of violence or elements of propaganda of violence. We say that almost any product of cultural consumption that comes to us from the West today carries values that form a certain political or worldview paradigm of perception of the surrounding reality,” Milonov said.
In his opinion, it is necessary not only to "sort cultural content on the scale of the presence or absence of violence or the materials prohibited by law, but also to conduct a structural analysis of the value content."
“Now any game or series is not just a cheerful picture, but a complete ideological product. Take, for example, a popular book and George Martin’s series“ Game of Thrones ”, there is a sexual deviant. It is through such works and their popularization that is laid in our consciousness that some things and phenomena are in the order of things,” Milonov emphasized.
