I have no doubt that the best friends of Vladimir Vladimirovich will explain to him that the arrest of Russian property is a conspiracy against Great Russia and its national leader. And that such a conspiracy can be fought only by demonstrating strength and unbending, then they will lag behind. I have no doubt that among these friends there are those who are silent, and think to themselves: if you get rid of the madmen, no one will arrest any property anymore. But neither in the Kremlin nor in his environs there is not a single person who would simply understand that we are talking about the most elementary justice. And among Russians there are not so many those who understand this.
It is not necessary to be surprised at this - what a surprise is there. All these people grew up in the country without trial. In Soviet times, any person who even believed in his native party and the government understood that there was no court - and it should not be that instead of the court the party district committee, and if something out of the ordinary, the Central Committee would intervene. Without the Central Committee, it was possible to divide the property and confirm the right to housing - the powers of the people's judges ended and the powers of their curators began.
In the post -Soviet time, money was added to the curators. And to money is a firm confidence that the rest of the world is arranged as modern Russia. That this is “capitalism” - when you can defeat a person with a bunch of dollars, and vice versa: thickness can be defeated if you have a patron in the city administration. And it is clear that the courts in the rest of the world work in the same way and Obama and Merkel can manipulate justice in the same way as Putin with Lukashenko. They just pretend to be better, but give me a deadline - and we will learn. We are just starting.
To explain to the post -Soviet resident that there is simply no mechanisms for influencing the real court, means to insult him in the best feelings and be known as the agent of the world backstage. In this system of values, the Russian conservative differs from the Russian liberal in power only in that the conservative dreams of turning the rest of the world into radioactive dust, and the liberal is ready to negotiate with this world - but still considers it as false and corrupt as his homeland. And from this he likes the rest of the world even more. The conservative dreams of winning this vile world, and liberal - to turn it into Russia, so that even to him, a foreigner, bribes could be given without any problems in London and Washington. And this difference between conquest and absorption is what distinguishes Rogozin with Patrushev from Kudrin with Gref. And Putin? But Putin does not care - to conquer or absorb. He just to reign.
So, it will not work to scratch. Just because in the civilized world should be responsible for its actions. Yukos stole - pay. Do not want to pay - give the property. Do not want to give property - pay off. And Obama will not help. And no Merkel will change court decisions. You can, of course, drop an atomic bomb on Brussels or Paris, but this will still not save Russian property.
And this is only the beginning. We still have to find out the verdict in the murder of Alexander Litvinenko. We will get acquainted with the conclusions of the investigation to destroy Boeing. We will be present when considering claims for theft of property in the annexed Crimea - and Crimea itself. And for all these claims you will have to pay - money, property, freedom of movement for participants in crimes. Over the years, critics of the Russian regime have assured that the country has been managing an organized crime group, muffled in civilian clothes. But it was nothing more than a literary image, a propaganda technique that could not be confirmed by a calm language of sentences. The situation began to virtually change only after a nightmare with Magnitsky.
But now the statement of the fact that Russia has become the prey of criminals will become just a detail of the work of international justice. It turned out that the shop arranged instead of the state is jurisdiction - albeit not to its own court, but independent justice beyond the boundaries of the seized territory. And given the fact that the main part of the looted benefactors of the Russian state is stored precisely beyond its borders, they will now have a hard time.
Yanukovych was still smarter - he kept the money in the cache and, when he began to bake, plunged into KamAZ and took it to a new homeland. However, the humanitarian convoy capable of bringing to the new place of residence the modest savings of Russian conservatives and liberals, in nature, still does not exist.
