The criminal case against the head of the Naberezhnye Chelny branch of the All -Tatar Public Center Rafis Kashapov was transferred to the court, the Free Tribune reports . The preliminary meeting is scheduled for June 26.

Kashapov is accused of part 1 of article 282 (excitement of hatred or enmity) and part 2 of article 280.1 (public calls for separatism on the Internet) for a number of publications on his VKontakte page.

"Since Kashapov himself does not deny the fact that he posted on his VKontakte page the indicated materials, the position of protection is such that they do not contain calls for interethnic growth or violation of territorial integrity," said the lawyer of the political producer Rausenia Kamalova. "There are no crime in these texts. There are no criminal acts that are charged with Kashapova. This is his political. Views, the opportunity to criticize the power with us, should have every position that he is persecuted for political beliefs. ”

Kashapov has been in the Kazan SIZO-1 since the end of December 2014. During the imprisonment, Politzek twice declared a hunger strike. The first time - in January - he thus protested against the arbitrariness of the authorities, the factory of criminal case and arrest. The second time - in March - Kashapov was starving, achieving compliance with the rights of Muslim prisoners. He took off both the first and second hunger strike a few weeks after the beginning.

On April 7, Kashapov’s appeal to Turkey President Tayyip Erdogan and the great national assembly of the country was published. In this document, Politsyk asked to provide him and his family with political asylum. “I was interrogated several times in prison about whether I collaborated with the special services of Turkey and with which public organizations,” Kashapov noted.
