
The head of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, Alexei Ulyukaev, said that the growth rate of the national economy can reach a level above 3.5% since 2017, Interfax reports.
“We have prepared the so -called target forecast, which proceeds from the fact that it is impossible to reach the pace of 3.5% and above since 2017,” Ulyukaev said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The minister added that the Russian economy was fully adapted to the regime of sanctions imposed by Western countries, repeating the thesis expressed by Vladimir Putin during a speech at the St. Petersburg Forum.
Earlier, as part of the forum, Ulyukaev said that the growth of the Russian economy will resume in the fourth quarter of 2015. “The fourth quarter - there will be approximately 2% of the decline (in annual terms) and according to the results of four quarters will be approximately minus 2.8%. Starting from the second quarter of the next year, we will come closer to the values of 2% with a slight GDP growth, ”the minister said.
Meanwhile, as the former Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin stated , Russia is in a full crisis, which will only worsen by the end of the year.
