Results of the photo contest of night landscapes

On June 16, the results of the annual photo contest “Heaven and Earth” were summed up, which is organized by the international program “World at night” ( Twan ). The competition was attended by photographers from 54 countries, including from Russia.

The Russian woman Lyubov Trifonova took first place in the category of “beauty of the night sky”, and the work of Evgeny Trisco took the second and fifth places in two different nominations. "Medusa" represents a gallery with the best works of the competition.

The photo “Traces of the stars over the dining room of the mountain” Eric Nathan was shot in Cape Town, South Africa, in June 2014. To get this picture, the photographer made 900 frames with a 30-second shutter speed and sewed them together. First place in the category "Against the Light."

The “fascinated forest” of Lyubov Trifonova was shot in December 2014 in Murmansk. The first place in the category "Beauty of the night sky."

In the photo of the “shadow of the moonlight” Brad Goldpeint depicts Mount Rhinir in Washington, and above it is the Milky Way. The picture, taken in July 2014, took second place in the category of "beauty of the night sky."

Another photo with the Milky Way is this time over the observatory peak Tereskol (in the center) near Elbrus. The picture of Yevgeny Trisco “Above light noise” took second place in the category “Against the Light”.

The Milky Way over the Lake Kreiter in Oregon is the work of Ben Koffman, who took third place in the category of “beauty of the night sky”.

“The bloody moon rises above the Chunzin” of the sturge of Yannan was made in October 2014, when a growing moon emerging from the shadow could be observed over the Chinese city. Third place in the category "Against Light".

The photo “Walking along the Star River” by Karen Zhao from China was shot over Uyuni - the largest salt marsh in the world located in Bolivia. Fifth place in the category "Beauty of the night sky."

Another work of Russian Evgeny Trisco, “above and under”, took fifth place in the category “against the light”. The photo was taken in Pyatigorsk in February 2015.
