The blog of the head of the Society for the Protection of Consumer Rights will be blocked

The blog of the head of the Society for the Protection of Consumer Rights (OSPP) Mikhail Anshakov on the LiveJournal platform was included in the register of prohibited sites of Roskomnadzor. RBC reports this.

As follows from the regulator’s database, the blog was added to the register on June 22 at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office. The blog was included in the register maintained by Roskomnadzor under Federal Law 398, which requires the blocking of sites “containing calls for mass unrest, extremist activities, participation in mass (public) events held in violation of the established order.”

Mikhail Anshakov’s blog contains a post with a safety precautions reminder for Russian tourists traveling to Crimea.

Previously, the Prosecutor General's Office demanded that the website of the Society for the Protection of Consumer Rights (OSPP) be closed and a criminal case opened after the publication of a leaflet for tourists urging them not to visit Crimea. According to prosecutors, the article “Memo for Russian tourists going on vacation to Crimea” posted on the website “contained incentives to promote the activities of a foreign state, international or foreign organization or their representatives, aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation.” The organization's website is currently blocked by Roskomnadzor
