In Sochi on June 25, a flood caused by heavy rains began. A one and a half -month rainfall fell in the city, the water in the rivers exceeded the critical level by more than a meter. Local authorities announced an emergency regime in the Adler district and in the village of Kudepst of the Khostinsky district.

In the affected areas, the evacuation of residents began. Those who remain in their homes were asked not to go outside and in no case do not approach the coast: tornadoes begin to form in the sea, and their exit to land is not excluded.

Sochi airport is closed due to flooding of the flight field and the terminal itself. About two thousand passengers are waiting for departure. The railway traffic is also stopped - the station is flooded.
