The Security Service of Ukraine detained one of the heads of the Main Directorate of the SBU in Kiev and the Kiev region, the press service of the department reports . He is "reasonably suspected" of work on the Russian special services. The case was opened under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason).

The work on cleaning the ranks of the SBU continues, the acting Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasily Gritsak. “Other SBU employees are also checked, who can be involved in foreign special services,” he emphasized.
