"Interrao" can sell "power networks of Armenia"

The Russian Inter RAO, which owns the "electric networks of Armenia", can sell the company against the backdrop of Yerevan's statements about its impending nationalization. According to Kommersant, the holding has already begun negotiations with potential buyers. However, the official representative of the company said that no negotiations are "nowhere now."

The interlocutor of the publication in Yerevan claims that Esa will acquire a Russian businessman Samvel Karapetyan, and negotiations began even before the increase in tariffs. However, representatives of the Tashir group controlled by Karapetyan in Armenia denied this.

Meanwhile, another source of Kommersant, familiar with the situation in the energy of Armenia, confirmed the fact of negotiations with both Tashir and with "other Russian businessman of Armenian origin."

The conflict around the Es flared up after June 17, the Armenian public services regulation commission increased the tariff for electricity in the country by 6.93 drama ($ 0.015) per 1 kWh. The company itself demanded to raise the prices even higher - by 17 drams.

A sedentary demonstration against the planned increase in electricity tariffs began in Yerevan on June 19. On June 22, protesters moved to the Presidential Palace . The police did not miss them, and then the demonstrators blocked Bagramyan Avenue. The police brutally dispersed the protesters. 237 people were detained.

Nevertheless, the protest only intensified. On June 23, the demonstrators again tried to go to the Presidential Palace. This time the police also blocked their way, but there was no dispersal. The protests continued in the second largest city in Armenia - Gyumri - and also began in other cities .

On Friday, Sargsyan, following a meeting with the Minister of Transport of Russia, the co-chair of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission, Maxim Sokolov, said that an audit would be held in the "electric networks of Armenia". He also said that the case of the murder by the Russian soldier-world Valery Permykov seven people in Gyumri was transferred to the Armenian side . Earlier, Russia refused to issue the accused, referring to its constitution.
