The leaders of the Member States of the organization of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) completed the annual summit, which took place on the island of Bali in Indonesia this year. The declaration of the forum participants indicates the need to "double forces" for liberalization of trade and achieve sustainable growth.
APEC unites 21 state, the total population of which exceeds three billion people. They account for more than half of the volume of the world economy.
US President Barack Obama this year was unable to come to the summit in connection with a crisis in the financing of American state institutions. Instead of him, US Secretary of State John Kerry arrived at Bali to demonstrate Washington's commitment to regional cooperation.
Next year, the APEC summit will be held in China.
