
Firefighters were able to put out a fire in the administrative building of the conservatory on Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street in the center of Moscow, according to the website of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies in Moscow.
According to the message, at 02:59 Moscow time the fire was localized and liquidated at 3:25 Moscow time. 92 people and 26 units of equipment took part in the extinguishing of the fire.
The fire began on the second floor of the Conservatory building on the night of June 30. The ignition area, according to updated data, was 70 square meters.
In connection with the fire, 35 people were evacuated from the building. There are no victims. The large hall of the conservatory was not injured.
The causes of the incident are currently being established. One version of the fire is a short circuit and violation of safety rules during repair work. According to another version, an abandoned cigarette butt led to a fire.
