Judge of the Moscow City Court Andrei Mokhov recognized the decision of the Basmann District Court to extend until June 30 of the arrest to the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko. This was reported by her lawyer Ilya Novikov.
“They began to listen to the appeal to extend the arrest of Savchenko on May 6. The absurdity was that the extension has already taken place on June 10,” the lawyer noted.
Judge Mokhov refused to introduce the legal conclusion of PACE on the immunity of Savchenko since it "does not matter for the case."
During the meeting, the investigator said that Savchenko got acquainted with the materials of her criminal case. The lawyer Novikov finished the acquaintance.
On June 26, Savchenko stated that she intends to finish familiarization with the materials of her criminal case on July 2. Thus, the prisoner took it to the study of materials for exactly one month.
"I do not consider it necessary to spend more than my life in prison. For all procedural consequences, I take responsibility for myself, since I believe that the institution of advocacy in Russia does not make sense as such, since the law does not operate in Russia," Savchenko wrote then.
On April 24, Savchenko was a final charge . Part 5 of Article 33 - paragraphs “A”, “e”, “l” of part 2 of Article 105 (aiding in the murder in the generally hazardous method of two or more persons based on political hatred, perfect by a group of persons), part 5 of Article 33 - Part 3 of Article 30 - paragraphs “A”, “E”, “L” of Article 105 (Part 2 of Article 105 (Part 2 of Article 105 (Part 2 or more. persons based on political hatred, committed by a group of persons) and part 1 of Article 322 of the Criminal Code (illegal crossing of the border). Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code, Savchenko, threatens up to 20 years in the colony, since according to Articles 57, 59 of the Code, more severe punishments - life imprisonment and death penalty are not appointed to women.
On May 7, lawyer Mark Feigin said that the trial of Savchenko is supposed to be held in Voronezh . According to the criminal case of Savchenko, she crossed the border with Russia in the Voronezh region. Thus, the transfer of her case to the court of this region from a formal point of view looks logical.
Nevertheless, on May 14, Savchenko handed over a statement through Feigin, in which she demanded to conduct a court to her in Moscow . According to the pilot, to transfer the process to Voronezh, they want to hide "mediocrity, unprofessionalism and crime of the investigation."
On June 10, the judge of the Moscow City Court Pavel Melekhin extended the arrest of Savchenko until September 30 . Investigator Timofei Grachev motivated his petition precisely by the fact that it takes time to familiarize him with Savchenko and her protection with the case file.
