The law adopted on June 12, 1990 received public recognition as the "Law on Freedom of Press and the Media." The round table has a demonstration of archival video materials, reports on the creation and consequences of the adoption of the law, a discussion with the participation of journalists.

What is Soviet dissidentism? Can we talk about him as a single culture or a single movement? Was dissidentiality identical to dissent? Are the views and positions of those citizens of the Soviet Union that in the 1960-1980s consistently abandoned the path of conformism in the 1960-1980s?

A lot of publications are devoted to the comprehension of the dissident movement and heritage, but few took to write a comprehensive historical review on this subject. Cecil Wesciere's book “For your and our freedom! The dissident movement in Russia ”was published in France in 1999, and in the Russian translation was published in the summer of 2015 - at the publishing house“ New Literary Review ”.
