In Yerevan, 46 demonstrators were detained on Bagramyan Avenue

The Yerevan police, when disassembling the barricades on Bagramyan Avenue, detained 46 protesters, six of which turned out to be minors. At the same time, as of 14:27 Monday (13:27 Moscow time), part of the demonstrators from the police were already released, and the rest were supposed to be released in the next minute.

Barricades from garbage tanks on the avenue are dismantled. The movement of cars along the highway is restored.

As Radio Azatutyun notes , the police requirement to free the roadway of the avenue, nominated a few hours before the expiration of the ultimatum of the demonstrators of the country's authorities, the protesters regarded the protest as a provocation. To disassemble the barricades, the protesters were given only 40 minutes, the radio station also notes, and the police cordon was put up between the demonstrators and the barricades.

One of the coordinators of the action, David Sanasaryan, called on the police to give demonstrators the time up to 21 hours so that they would decide what to do at the evening rally. However, this call was ignored.

At about 12:40 (11:40 Moscow time), that is, 10 minutes after the expiration of the deadline set by the police, the security forces began to independently disassemble the barricades . Several dozen protesters sat on the asphalt, singing patriotic songs and chanting slogans. They remained on the roadway and after disassembling the barricades, but the police expelled them without using physical strength. The absence of clashes is confirmed by the “Army News”.

On Saturday, demonstrators in Yerevan said that they did not intend to free Bagramyan Avenue, and nominated the country's authorities by the Ultimatum . “If at least one of our requirements will not be fulfilled until 21:00 on Monday, we will begin to carry out actions called“ Step forward ”: every day we will take a step closer to our barricades to the president’s residence,” the representative of the demonstrators David Sanasaryan said at a rally.

Demonstrators demand an annul in the decision to increase electricity tariffs and revise them towards the decrease, as well as bring to justice the police who applied violence during the dispersal of the demonstration on June 22.
