Luke Debarg will give a concert in St. Petersburg

On July 14, Luke Debarg, a 24-year-old French pianist who had just become a laureate of the XV International Competition named after. P.I. Tchaikovsky.

This was reported by the press service of the competition. The concert program has the seventh Sonata Beethoven, the first sonata of Metner and the Triptih "Night Gaspar" Ravel.

Luke Debarg began classes at the piano at the age of 11, he decided to become a professional musician only at 20, leaving the study of literature and art. He studied at the Paris Higher National Conservatory of Music and Dance with Jean Francois Essa, is now studying at the Paris Higher School of Music named after Coroto in the classroom of Professor Rena Shereshevskaya.

In 2014, Debarg won at the IX International Pianists Competition Adilia Aliyeva in Gayara (France). A significant place in the pianist’s repertoire is Russian music, in particular, the works of Nikolai Metner and Nikolai Roslavts. In addition, Debarg plays jazz in several Parisian ensembles.

The Moscow Critics Association gave him a special prize - the opportunity to play a solo concert in the Moscow International House of Music in December 2015 - as a musician, "whose performances at the competition were a noticeable artistic phenomenon, and whose unique talent, creative freedom and beauty of musical tractes made a great impression on the public and criticism."
