
The deficit of the federal budget of the Russian Federation for the first half of 2015 amounted to 889.3 billion rubles. About this, as reports the Prime Agency, said Tatyana Nesterenko, deputy head of the Ministry of Finance.
“The deficit is also recently - we haven’t had so often for the shortage of half a year - this year almost trillion, 889.3 billion rubles, or 2.6% of GDP,” said the deputy head of the Ministry of Finance, speaking to Senators. “According to the results of the year, 3% of GDP is expected by the deficit,” the official added.
A year ago, according to the results of the first half of 2014, a federal budget surplus of 649.3 billion rubles, or 1.9% of GDP, was recorded.
According to Nesterenko, the income of the federal budget decreased by 7% compared to the level of last year. "Moreover, oil and gas revenues fell by 20% and amounted to only 3 trillion rubles. According to the Ministry of Finance, at the end of the year the income will amount to 13 trillion rubles, including oil and gas 5.9 trillion rubles," the deputy minister said.
She noted that the Ministry of Finance expects a fall in the federal budget income by the results of the year about 10%. And in comparison with the parameters that are laid down in the initial budget, the fall in income will be about 14-15%. The expenses, according to Nesterenko, for the first time in a decade, approached after the results of half a year to 50% of the total budget expenditures, amounting to 48.5%.
The law on the federal budget for 2015 provides for a shortage at the end of the current year with just 3.7% of GDP. At the same time, the Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov previously said that the indicator at the end of the year will most likely be lower - about 3.4% or even less than 3% - provided that additional income will be directed to reserves, and not at expenses.
The head of the Ministry of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukaev in mid -June stated that the deficit could be about 2.5% of GDP.
