The FSB calls Sentsov the leader of the sabotage and terrorist group "Right Sector". A non -existent group is attributed to the arson of the headquarters of the “Russian community of Crimea” and “United Russia” in Simferopol, committed respectively on April 14 and 18, 2014, as well as the preparation in the Crimean capital of the explosion at the monument to Lenin. The director is considered involved in all these shares.
According to the article on the Sentsov terrorist attack, up to 20 years of the colony threatens. Politsyk does not admit his fault for any of the imputed accusations.
Only one episodeis charged with a 25 -year -old left -wing activist Kolchenko - participation in the arson of the United Russia headquarters. This episode is qualified under part 2 of Article 205.4 (participation in the terrorist community) and paragraph "A" of part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code. The sanction on the first of these accusations is up to 10 years of the colony, on the second - up to 20 years.
Kolchenko also does not admit guilt. He confirms his participation in arson, but does not agree with the qualifications of these actions on "terrorist" articles. He did not give testimony on Sentsov.
Both political prisoners insist that they are citizens of Ukraine. Meanwhile, the FSB claims that both of them are Russian citizens. This position is also supported by other official structures, although in February the Russian General Prosecutor's Office stated that Sentsov supposedly had dual citizenship.
In addition to Sentsov and Kolchenko, there were two more defendants in the case - lawyer and photographer Gennady Afanasyev and historian Alexei Chirniy. However, both of them made a deal with the investigation, having stipulated both himself and Sentsov, and their cases were allocated in separate proceedings, examining each in a special order. On December 17, 2014, the Moscow City Court sentenced Afanasyev to 7 years in a maximum regime . On April 21, 2015, the North Caucasus District Military Court sentenced the same sentence to Chirnia .
