As co-founder of the Perm handball club “Perm Bears” Vladimir Nelyubin told Kommersant, he met with the team and discussed the current situation. The businessman assured the players that he would not abandon the club and would fulfill all old and new obligations. According to Mr. Nelyubin, today the entire team (with the exception of three players participating in the Universiade in Korea) went to training.

Vladimir Nelyubin set a goal for the 2015\2016 season - to take first place in the Super League (last season the Permians were second). “Minister of Sports Pavel Lyakh proposes that we be demoted in the league. But low cinema is not about us. This is not why we created the club for 15 years. This won’t happen as long as I’m alive and have the strength!” - said the entrepreneur.

Let us remember that last week the players and employees of the club distributed an open letter on the Internet, in which they reported that the handball club was experiencing a financial crisis and most likely would not be able to take part in competitions.

Later, the regional Minister of Sports Pavel Lyakh stated that the regional Perm Territory had fulfilled all obligations to finance the Perm Bears Group of Companies in full. In his opinion, the club had a problem raising funds from extra-budgetary sources, which put the team in a critical situation, since the regional law on the terms of financing “50 to 50” was not implemented. Mr. Lyakh suggested following the example of the Parma basketball club - considering the possibility of playing in the new season in the Major League of the Russian Handball Championship, while forming a roster based on local students.

Club co-owner Vladimir Nelyubin explained that the problems were caused by the bankruptcy of Ecoprombank, on whose accounts 12 million rubles were stuck, intended for the handball club.
