This was reported by "Moscow -24" with reference to Alexander Zakatov, director of the office of the head of the Romanov House, Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna.

The interlocutor of the channel explained that we are not talking about privileges, but only about the official recognition of the existence of the imperial house and its protection from impostors. “We are talking about a moral act that should be expressed in legal form,” said Zakatov. “Historical heritage, the copyright of the Romanovs could be protected by the state.”

What kind of impostors bother the descendants of the imperial surname, he did not specify, noticing only that these are people "who, hiding in some titles, use the symbols of the Romanovs."

He explained the need for a permanent residence or apartment for descendants of the Romanov sunsets by the fact that Maria Vladimirovna stops several times a year in Moscow, and "a person cannot constantly live in hotels." “But we are not talking about the return of property that is now used by other people,” the director of the office assured. “Only about the construction of a new house, buying an apartment or restoring some old building that is in serious condition.” Regarding the repair of the building, he added that "the Romanovs house is modest income, so the work can be performed at the expense of investors."
