The trial of the artist Pyotr Pavlensky has begun

In the judicial district of the justice of the peace No. 199 in St. Petersburg, began the trial of the artist Pyotr Pavlensky . He is accused of vandalism for the art action "Freedom" in February 2014, during which tires were set on fire on the Small Konyushenny Bridge in St. Petersburg. Pavlensky is defended by two lawyers - Svetlana Ratnikova and Dmitry Dinze. The judge denied admission to the trial of a third lawyer, Pavel Yasman, a former investigator who dealt with the case against Pavlensky. At the first meeting, a Kommersant photographer, employees of a cleaning company, and an official from the municipal department of culture were questioned.
