This was reported by Interfax with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Culture.
The ministry explained that the appeal was a reaction to numerous appeals of public activists and cultural figures about the inadmissibility of the participation of Emir Kusturitsa in a concert on July 28 due to public support by the director and musician of Russia's policy in relation to Ukraine.
“To prevent the risks of massive violations of public order, protest shares, breakdown of measures to honor the 1000th anniversary of the rest of the Kyiv Prince Vladimir Great, on July 28, it would be advisable if Emir Kureurika abstained in a concert on July 28 in Kyiv,” the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture said.
PS , as TASS reports, the charity concert “Love will save the world” on July 28 at the Kiev Sports Palace, in which the emir Kusturitsa was to participate, was canceled.
