NPO "Soldiers' mothers of St. Petersburg" on Thursday submit an application for exit from the register of "foreign agents". This was reported by "Vedomosti". Earlier, several more organizations, including the Liberal Mission and the Voice Association, addressed the Ministry of Justice. They claim that they have abandoned foreign financing.

The press secretary of the "soldiers' mothers" Alexander Porruk noticed in connection with the submission of an application to the Ministry of Justice: "The prospect of appealing the status of" agent "is doubtful, so they decided to try in this way." He noticed that NPOs for more than a year - since May 2014 - does not receive foreign grants. At the same time, the frontrupe added that NPO does not conduct political activity in the statement is not said. He explained that in conditions when it is not known what exactly could be considered political activity, the organization decided not to risk so that it was not refused the exclusion from the register, accusing of providing knowingly false information.

Porchruk said that "soldiers' mothers" hoped that by October, when new presidential grants will be distributed, the organization will already be expelled from the registry. By that time, he noted, the activities of the NPO will be reformatted - the "soldier's mothers" will concentrate mainly on online seminars, and the trials will fade into the background.

The “liberal mission” explained the application by the fact that she refused the dynasty funds allocated to her this year, which was considered a “foreign agent”.

The co -chair of the Voice Movement Grigory Melkonian noted that in the near future the last of the units of the same association, which was not in the register of "agents" - "Voice -Ural" - will also be included in this list. Thus, the Voice will not have structures that have the right to observe the elections. At the same time, added Melkonian, the exclusion of the “voice” from the registry - “this is a matter of principle”. “After all, 7 thousand euros of the Sakharov Prize were never received, but we were still recognized as an“ agent, ”he recalled.

At the same time, the Ministry of Justice still has not returned the fine of 400 thousand rubles paid to him, although the Moscow City Court canceled it back in September 2014. “On the eve of the elections, everything is done so that the organization does not work,” said Melkonian. He explained that so far NPOs exist at the expense of the presidential grant, but by the end of August this money will end. Meanwhile, the Voice movement is not registered as a legal entity and does not have the right to collect donations. “We are closed with transparent tools for collecting and spending funds,” Melkonian complained.
