The collegium of the Supreme Court for the military personnel as part of Igor Krupnov (chairman), Sergei Sokkerin and Alexander Zamashnyuk left the Crimean prisoner, Alexei Chirnia, convicted of seven years of strict regime. This was reported by the correspondent of "faces". The hearing, which took place in closed mode, took about 20 minutes. Chirny was present at the meeting personally.
The verdict of Chirnia was issued on April 21 by a judge of the North Caucasus District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don Roman Saprunov . He was sentenced by a partial addition of the deadlines for each of the charged accusations: six years under paragraph “A” of part 2 of Article 205 (a terrorist attack committed by an organized group; two episodes), four years under part 1 of article 30 - paragraph 2 of Article 205 (preparation for the terrorist attack committed by an organized group), four years under part 2 of article 205 (participation in the terrorist community) and two years according to two years according Part 3 of Article 30 - Part 3 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code (attempt on the acquisition of explosives by an organized group).
Saprunov recognized Chirniy as a member of the Diversion -Terrorism Group of the Right Sector, whose leader the investigation called the film director Oleg Sentsov, and one of the militants - the left activist Alexander Kolchenko. It was recognized as proven that the convict participated in all three shares attributed to this non -existent group. We are talking about the arsons of the headquarters of the "Russian community of Crimea" and "United Russia" in Simferopol, committed, respectively, respectively, respectively, on April 14 and 18, 2014, as well as the explosion of the monument allegedly preparing in the Crimean capital.
The prosecutorrequested 12 years of strict regime for Chirniya .
The defendant pleaded guilty and concluded a deal with the investigation, so his case was considered in a special order - without the interrogation of witnesses and the analysis of evidence. In the same way, another Crimean prisoner - Gennady Afanasyev did the same. In December 2014, he also received seven years of strict regime .
Chirnia is 34 years old. He was a candidate of historical sciences, taught at the Simferopol Institute of Culture. The FSB abducted Chirnia in Simferopol night from May 8 to 9, 2014 and tortured. He was later arrested and transported to the Moscow pre -trial detention center Lefortovo.
Like Afanasyev, Chirny not only pleaded guilty, but also testified to Sentsov. Meanwhile, unlike Afanasyev, he did not recognize himself as a citizen of Russia and did not abandon Russian citizenship. At one time, Chirny unsuccessfully achieved to be recognized as insane.
Sentsov and Kolchenko, on the contrary, do not admit guilt and refuse to stipulate both themselves and others. Preliminary hearings in their case were held on July 9 in the North Caucasus District Military Court. The proceedings on the merits will begin on July 21.
