The Government of the Russian Federation did not support the idea of the head of Sberbank on the introduction of restrictions on the number of insurance payments on deposits in one hand and stopped its consideration. This was written by Kommersant with reference to sources familiar with the results of the meeting in the government, which discussed the feasibility of changing the system of insurance payments to depositors in case of recall of licenses from banks.
The publication notes that the meeting was held on Tuesday July 14. It was planned to report to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev about the results of the analysis. According to the interlocutors of the newspaper, the idea of transforming the system of payments of insurance compensation was not supported, including in terms of Gref's proposals to limit the number or amount of total insurance payments.
Herman Gref presented a method to protect citizens from high bets on deposits, at a meeting with Dmitry Medvedev on May 13. The head of Sberbank thus proposed to fight with an uncontrolled re -label of depositors in high -risk banks that unjustifiably overstrating deposits.
To embody his idea, Gref came up with three options: the introduction of a limit of the total volume of insurance payments to one investor in the history of his interaction with banks for 3 million rubles (now the one -time insurance is up to 1.4 million rubles), the payment of deposits insurance no more than once every five years and permission to receive insurance payments in principle in principle.
As Kommersant wrote earlier, Gref’s proposal unanimously supported the leaders of large banks, but representatives of small banks criticized.
