Former co -owner of the NPK "Electro -optics" arrested in the "Spy" case

The former co-owner of the Moscow Scientific and Production Complex "Electro-optics" Maxim Lyudomirsky was arrested in the "espionage" case. This is reported by Interfax. Lyudomirsky has been in prison since September 2014, but only now it became known about the case against him. On Wednesday, the Lefortovo district court of the capital extended the arrest of an engineer until September 25, and in total up to a year.

Lyudomirsky was charged with Article 275 of the Criminal Code (state treason), which provides for 12 to 20 years of the colony. Its business has a “secret” vulture, so any details are not disclosed, and meetings to extend the arrest engineer are held closed.

As TASS reports with reference to an unnamed source in law enforcement agencies, Lyudomirsky is charged with the transfer of certain secret information to a foreign state.

The NPK "Electro -optics" is engaged in the design and release of laser free -free inertial navigation systems (BIDS), their basic elements, as well as the creation of specialized software. The company belongs to a number of defense developments.

According to the magazine "Bulletin of the MGTU named after N. E. Bauman", Lyudomirsky is 49 years old, he is a graduate of the Bauman school, and in "Electro -optics" he served as a chief engineer. Meanwhile, Interfax, citing the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, reports that the engineer owned 23 percent of this enterprise.

Lyudomirsky - author of 12 scientific works on laser technology. He also owns 3 patents for engineering developments.

The case against Lyudomirsky is the third of the “spy” cases in the 2014, which became known on July 22. Earlier, the Lefortovo District Court announced the extension of the arrests to the defendants of the other two cases under Article 275 of the Criminal Code : Evgeny Chorov - until September 26, and only up to 12 months; Victor Shura - until September 24, and only up to 9 months. In addition, on Wednesday, preliminary hearings began in one more such case - in relation to the former radio engineer of GRU Gennady Kravtsov, who has been under arrest for almost 14 months, for sending a resume to the Swedish company in 2010.
