According to the department, as part of an inspection at one of the network’s pizzerias, law enforcement officers were able to freely gain access to materials recognized by the Ministry of Justice as extremist. Also freely available were materials that “contained a terrorist threat” and were harmful to the health and development of minors.
“Access to the specified information is not protected by content filtering; obtaining a password to access the Internet and confirmation by the person wishing to receive a password for access to reach the age of 18 is not required,” the prosecutor’s office report says.
The agency issued a presentation to the owners of the pizzeria chain, which demanded that they take measures to limit access to prohibited information. In addition, they were brought to justice under Part 2 of Art. 6.17 Code of Administrative Offences. The owners of the establishments were fined 20 thousand rubles.
