
Vladimir Putin proposed Russian citizenship and minister to ex-Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. According to La Stampa, Berlusconi announced this at dinner with the functionaries of the forward party, Italy in the Roman restaurant Consolini.
"Just think: in Italy they pushed me to the backyards, and at the same time Putin told me that he was ready to provide me with Russian citizenship and put the Russian Ministry of Economy at the head of the Ministry of Economy," the ex -prime minister reports.
Berlusconi is known for his jokes, the newspaper notes, but during the dinner in Consolini, he was in a bad mood and complained about his position. Therefore, the ex-Prime Minister most likely spoke seriously, concludes the publication.
In recent years, Italian courts have issued a number of convictions on financial fraud, publications of wiretaps of negotiations and sex with a minor. The last sentence to the ex -Prime Minister - to three years in prison - was issued in Naples on July 8. Berlusconi was found guilty of bribery of senators. Nevertheless, none of the sentences, the politician had not yet begun to serve, because according to the laws of the country he can be detained only after consideration of cases of the latest appeal authority.
