NASA presented "Earth 2.0"

NASA announced the discovery of a planet, which is so similar to Earth that it was unofficially called "Earth 2.0." Officially, it is called Kepler 452b. A planet is one and a half times larger than the Earth, but it has almost the same length on it as on Earth.

Kepler 452B is located at a distance of about 1,400 light years. The Kepler 452 star, which is located in the constellation Swan, is about six billion years, that is, it is one and a half billion years older than the sun.

• In total, there are more than a thousand confirmed applicants to be new land. The first exoplanet was discovered 20 years ago, in 1995. Since the Kepler telescope was launched six years ago, scientists have discovered more than three thousand planets, which, too, may turn out to be like Earth.
• For comparison of exoplanets, the likeness index is used. For the Earth, it is equal to one, for Mars 0.64, and for the very land of the planet (before the discovery of Kepler 452b), 0.89 . What is the likeness of Kepler 452b, at the time of writing the news was unknown.
