
In the fall of Indie Rock, the Arcade Fire group and director Khalil Joseph will present in cinemas around the world the full-length documentary “The Reflektor Tapes”, telling about working on the Arcade Fire “Reflektor” album.
According to the art-union of Coolconnces , which is engaged in the rental of a film in Russia, it will be shown from September 24 to October 24.
The idea of the Reflektor album arose with the vocalist and guitarist Win Batler and the multi -instrumentalist Redin Shassan after a trip to Haiti, from where her parents came from. In the compositions of the album, elements of Hatyan music are used. The record took place in Louisiana and on Jamaica. The album was released in 2013 and took the first positions in the Billboard 200 , UK Albums and UK Digital Albums .
The film “The Reflektor Tapes” tells not only how Reflektor was recorded, but also about the international round in support of the album.
The director of “The Reflektor Tapes” Halil Joseph in 2013 received the Sundance festival prize for the film “Until the Quiet Comes” to the music from the same album of the California producer Flying Lotus .
